Dr. Juli Nevland, PhD
North Dakota Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Nevland is the founder and owner of NEV Psychological Consulting, PLLC. She earned a doctorate degree in psychology from the University of North Dakota, with extensive clinical and psychological assessment experience in various mental health settings, to include state and federal prisons, human service center, veteran administration hospital, and private practice. She also worked in higher education as a Psychology Professor, Program Director, and Department Chair, where she taught courses in psychological testing and assessment, forensic psychology, psychopathology and assessment, clinical psychology, abnormal psychology, and industrial/organizational psychology.
Dr. Nevland is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), North Dakota Psychological Association (NDPA), American Institute for the Advancement of Forensic Studies (AIAFS), and the American Psychology-Law Society (AP-LS). She previously served as President and Vice President of the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners (NDBACE) and as President of the North Dakota Association of Counselor Educators and Supervisors (NDACES). She completed professional presentations and trainings at numerous national and state conferences, to include the American Psychological Association (APA) Conference, National Multicultural Conference & Summit (NMCS), North Dakota Association for Justice (NDAJ) Conference, Minnesota Association for Treatment of Sexual Abusers (MnATSA) Conference, North Dakota Fall Educators Conference, North Dakota Symposium on Aging and Disabilities, North Dakota Counseling Association (NDCA) Conference, and the North Dakota Addiction Counselors Association (NDACA) Conference, among others. She previously served as an expert reviewer for the Society for the Teaching of Psychology Journal and is also a published author.

PSYCHOTHERAPY
We are a self-pay clinic that provides highest quality, evidence-based psychotherapy services to clients ages 18+. Although we do not accept traditional insurance, we will gladly accept payment through your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). We also provide a superbill invoice that allows you to submit a claim directly to your insurance provider.
Dr. Nevland is only able to schedule a limited number of psychotherapy sessions per week, to ensure each client and their concern is treated as a top priority.
Dr. Nevland utilizes eclectic, empirically validated treatment approaches, which are individualized to best meet each client’s immediate and long-term mental health needs. She has 15+ years of clinical experience working with various therapies, to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Behavioral Activation (BA), Behavioral Family Therapy (BFT), Social Skills Training (SST), Problem Solving Therapy (PST), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and a variety of Person-Centered/Interpersonal Therapies (IPT).
